We are excited to announce that the nominating committee for the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) Dallas*Fort Worth (D*FW) Chapter has nominated the following individuals for officer positions for the 2015-2016 Board of Directors.  We ask that all members take a minute to review and vote on this slate.

President:Rick Black

Rick Black is Executive Vice President at Dennard Lascar Associates, an investor relations counsel and analytical services firm. He manages the firm’s Dallas office, provides senior client account management and strategic communications planning and is responsible for client relations and business development. With more than 16 years of investor relations, media relations and crisis management experience, Rick frequently presents at industry conferences on topics related to investor relations and shareholder activism. Prior to joining Dennard Lascar, Rick was a senior vice president at H+K Strategies from 2009 to 2013. Previous experience also includes serving as director of investor relations and head of corporate communications at Luby’s, Inc. (NYSE: LUB) from 2005 to 2009, where he worked with management on the company’s successful defense during a 2008 proxy contest against an activist hedge fund takeover attempt. From 2001 to 2005, Rick served as investor relations manager at BMC Software, Inc, (NYSE:BMC). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing from Texas Tech University. He served as Vice President, Programs of the Dallas-Fort Worth NIRI Chapter for the 2013-2014 board year.

Executive Vice President:Glen Orr

Glen Orr is Executive Vice President of Abernathy MacGregor Group in its Houston operation and the firm’s oil and gas practice. He previously served as a Director in the Dallas/Fort Worth office of Brunswick Group LLP. Having counseled clients for more than 20 years on media relations, corporate reputation and positioning, transactions and crisis and issues management, Glen has broad domestic and cross-border experience in corporate and financial communications. A veteran of the nation’s largest public relations agencies, Glen has helped clients respond to crises both in the United States and around the world and has also counseled companies on the development of their crisis preparedness skills, evaluating and updating crisis management plans and training top management via crisis simulation exercises. Prior to joining Brunswick, Glen counseled clients at GolinHarris, Burson-Marsteller and Edelman, where he led a broad range of communications and reputation initiatives in a variety of sectors, including financial services, technology, energy and healthcare. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree from Texas A&M. He served as a 2013-2014 At-Large Director of the D*FW chapter.

Vice-President, Programs:Kate Tholking

Kate Tholking serves as the Director of Investor Relations at Primoris Service Corporation. Prior to joining Primoris she was an equity research analyst with Opus Catital Markets.

Vice President, Communications:Sarah Jager

Sarah Jager is a Sr. Account Executive at Marketwired.  Based in Dallas, Texas, she has spent more than a decade serving the needs of the investor relations community, and served two years as the VP of Programs for the NIRI Dallas*Fort Worth Chapter from 2010-2012.  Prior to Marketwired, Sarah spent 14 years with Business Wire, and was the Dallas Regional Manager since 2006.  Ms. Jager holds a B.A. from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, and lives in Richardson, TX with her family.

Vice President, Professional Development:Lee Anne Sexton

Lee Anne Sexton has more than 10 years of experience in shareholder and marketing communications. As a Vice President of Capital Markets and Compliance at RR Donnelley Financial Services (Nasdaq: RRD), Lee Anne provides client centric consulting and a wide variety of services and technology solutions to help her clients communicate with customers, shareholders and government regulators. She works directly with corporate finance, investor relations and legal executives at both public and private companies, investment bankers, legal professionals and private equity executives. Prior to joining Bowne, Lee Anne was with Spear One Productions and was heavily involved with the planning and execution of the yearly Nortel Networks client road show. Lee Anne earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University. She served as a 2013-2014 At-Large Director of the D*FW chapter.

Vice-President, Social Chair:Liz Kline

Liz is responsible for directing new business development and account services efforts for Eisenberg And Associates, as well as running the Dallas office. She also serves as senior manager on major projects. With over 16 years of experience in the graphic design industry nationwide, including over 10 years with Eisenberg And Associates, Liz has worked with a client base that spans most industries. She began her career at KIDSNET, a nonprofit organization in Washington, D.C., specializing in the development of educational curriculum materials for children’s television. She then worked for Bremmer & Goris Communications, a design studio in Alexandria, Virginia. Liz is the 2007 past president of the D*FW NIRI chapter and has chaired two Southwest Regional Conferences for the organization.

Vice President, Membership:Abi Salimi

Abi Salami is the Manager of Investor Relations at FelCor Lodging Trust, a publically traded REIT based in Irving, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas with her Bachelor in Business Administration and Master in Processional Accounting and she also holds a CPA license. During her spare time, Abi enjoys running, cycling and painting. 

Vice-President, Treasurer:Kristin Donnally

Kristin Donnally is a Senior Analyst in Investor Relations for Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR).Sabre is a leading technology provider to the global travel and tourism industry. Sabre’s software, data, mobile and distribution solutions are used by hundreds of airlines and thousands of hotels to manage vital operations, such as passenger and guest reservations, revenue management, and flight, network and crew management. Prior to joining Southcross, Kristin was a Planner Executive and Account Executive for the Estee Lauder Companies from 2007-2012 in Dallas, TX Northern, CA, Hawaii and Guam. Kristin began her career with Dillard’s Department Stores in 2003 where she held various positions in the corporate buying office and store management.  Kristin received her BS in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech and her MBA at Southern Methodist University. Kristin enjoys serving as a director at large for the National Investor Relations Institute – Dallas/ Fort Worth chapter and as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Dallas Business Club. Kristin currently resides in Dallas, TX and enjoys playing classical violin and Pilates in her free time.
