The NIRI D*FW Chapter won the NIRI Chairman’s Award, which is bestowed upon the chapters that demonstrate the most innovative and creative programming. The NIRI D*FW Chapter held a variety of successful events in 2009-2010, including monthly continuing professional education programs and seasonal networking events.
In addition, Kristi Cooper earned the 2009-2010 Individual Chapter Leadership Award for her efforts as the NIRI D*FW Chapter’s vice president of Programs during the 2009-2010 leadership year.
“Kristi has been an active member of the NIRI D*FW Chapter since 2004. She has fulfilled her board roles with professionalism and insightful contributions to the team. As the 2009-2010 Programs chair, she booked many high-quality luncheon speakers and planned a festive holiday party. She also took it upon herself to book programs through the end of 2010 to help with the transition to the 2010-2011 year. Previously, Kristi held the NIRI D*FW Chapter positions of vice president, communications and vice president, membership. She also served on numerous NIRI D*FW Chapter committees, as well as an at-large director,” Veronica B. Marks of DRI Corporation (NASDAQ: TBUS), the 2009-2010 NIRI D*FW Chapter president, said.
From October 2003 to March 2010, Ms. Cooper was employed as Vice President, Business Development, at the Dallas-based design firm of Peterson Ray & Co. Her responsibilities included establishing new business contacts, writing proposals, maintaining client relationships, and managing human resources.
