The NIRI D*FW Chapter won the NIRI Chairman’s Award, which is bestowed upon the chapters that demonstrate the most innovative and creative programming. NIRI D*FW held a variety of successful events in 2008-2009. The highlight of the year was the 2008 Southwest Regional Conference, held Aug. 20-22 in St. Louis, Mo. The NIRI D*FW Chapter also hosted a half day professional development workshop in Dallas as well as regular monthly luncheons on a variety of investor relations topics. In addition, NIRI D*FW held a career development program and offered networking and social events throughout the year.
Hala Elsherbini, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Halliburton Investor Relations in Dallas and the current NIRI D*FW executive vice president, earned the 2008-2009 Individual Chapter Leadership Award.
