NIRI DFW relies on its leadership to curate events, contribute to best practice sharing and to be the conduit concerning issues impacting public companies between their company and NIRI National. Positions are voluntary and terms are one year.
Below are the officers and directors for the 2015 – 2016 term year.
Glen Orr, President
Glen is president of Orr Strategic Communications, a firm built on the belief that enterprise value and communications are inextricably linked. He sees IR and communications as a business tool that when well executed can grow the value of an organization and when executed poorly can erode millions of dollars in value. Glen has more than 20 years’ experience in investor relations, corporate communications and crisis management, and he uses that experience to protect and fortify the reputations of client companies and help them achieve their corporate objectives. He has extensive experience coaching senior executives and working hand-in-hand with heads of corporate communications and investor relations during times of significant corporate change including: mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, physical and financial crises, shareholder incongruity, and executive succession.
Glen began his career in IR in San Antonio working for a natural gas utility and recently has counseled clients on implementing IR strategies and tactics to align shareholders with corporate strategies; and developed and implemented sophisticated employee and corporate communications campaigns to maximize the value of hostile and friendly M&A transactions, mitigate the impact of activist shareholder attacks and manage communications surrounding financial and physical crises. Glen also assists companies in nurturing and managing their relationships with media and navigating engagement with them during important corporate announcements.
Glen is a native of South Texas and has been a NIRI member for about 20 years, most recently serving as Executive Vice President. Prior to that he served as Vice President, Membership; Vice President, Programs; and has been a contributor on several committees. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree from Texas A&M.
Frank Molina, Executive Vice President
Frank Molina currently serves as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations and Treasury for ClubCorp Holdings, Inc. where he is responsible for executing ClubCorp’s investor relations and communications strategy with equity investors and sell-side analysts. Frank is also responsible for directing the company’s access to capital with banks, fixed income investors and ratings agencies, and oversees the company’s risk management department.
From 2005 through 2014, Frank served in a variety of finance positions at Dell Inc., including Director of Investor Relations and Division CFO of Dell’s networking business. From 2002 through 2004, Frank was the Division Controller for Air Liquide America Electronics.
He holds a MBA in finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a B.Sc. in chemical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
Robert Debs, Vice President, Membership
Robert is the Director of Investor Relations for Milestone, a U.S. investment management company with several real estate private equity vehicles including Milestone Apartments REIT (TSX: MST.UN), the largest U.S. multifamily REIT listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange with an equity market capitalization of ~C$1.5 billion and total assets under management of ~US$2.5 billion.
Prior to joining Milestone in 2013, Robert was a member of the Shelton Group investor relations team since 2007 where he served as an account manager for private and public companies of varying equity market capitalizations and industry types. Before joining the Shelton Group, Robert was an associate for FXCM, Inc. (NYSE: FXCM), where he managed relationships with the company’s clients, including coaching traders on the fundamental and technical factors affecting the FX market. Before joining FXCM, Robert was a licensed personal financial representative for Washington Mutual Financial Services, now part of Chase, where he assisted clients with their brokerage and banking needs. Robert held NASD Series 3, 6 and 63 licenses while at FXCM and Washington Mutual.
With over 9 years of investor relations and capital markets experience servicing U.S. and Canadian publicly traded companies of varying market caps Robert has valuable expertise required for developing comprehensive and strategic investor relations programs.
Robert graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Business Administration degrees.
Evan Black, Vice President, Treasurer
Evan Black currently serves as Vice President of Investor Relations at Santander Consumer USA (NYSE: SC). Evan joined SC in 2012 and, during his tenure has served as Director of Investor Relations and Senior Market Risk Analyst. When SC made its debut as a publicly traded Company in January 2014, Evan served as project lead and headed the Company’s first investor relations team. Prior to joining SC, Evan served as Market Risk Manager at Penson Financial Services. Evan earned a BBA in Accounting from Southern Methodist University, is a CFA® charterholder and holds the Investor Relations Charter (IRC) credential.
Lindsey Crabbe, Vice President, Programs
Lindsey Crabbe is Manager of Investor Relations for Capstead Mortgage Corporation (NYSE: CMO). Capstead Mortgage Corporation operates as a real estate investment trust headquartered in Dallas, Texas and has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since September 1985. Capstead’s investment strategy involves managing a leveraged portfolio of adjustable-rate agency-guaranteed residential mortgage pass-through securities that can produce attractive risk-adjusted returns over the long term, while reducing, but not eliminating, sensitivity to changes in interest rates. Currently, the Company has assets of $14 billion and long-term investment capital of$1.4 billion.
Lindsey has served as Manager of Investor Relations since January 2013, moving to the position internally from an
accounting role at Capstead. Lindsey began her career at Ernst & Young where she worked on the Assurance team for several privately-held real estate clients in Dallas from 2006 through 2008.
Lindsey is a certified public accountant (CPA). She graduated from the University of Virginia, where she earned her Masters of Science in Accounting and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing at Texas A&M University. Lindsey resides in Dallas with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys training for marathons and baking pies for her small pie company.
Hala Elsherbini, Vice President, Professional Development
As Senior Vice President and COO for Halliburton Investor Relations, Hala leverages her 26 years of IR experience to guide client companies in their IR program strategy. She is a trusted advisor who utilizes an extensive network of professionals to communicate HIR client’s value while acting as an advocate for the clients to the investment community.
Hala graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.A. in Communications, majoring in public relations. She’s a 10-year+ NIRI, serving on various committees, both on a national and local chapter level. In December 2015, Hala was elected to serve a four-year term on the National board of directors. She also served as the 2010-2011 President of the DFW Chapter, Co-Chaired the 2012 and 2014 Southwest Regional Conference as well as serving as co-chair for the upcoming 2016 conference. Hala was also recruited to join the 2013-2015 Editorial Advisory Board for IR Update, the monthly NIRI member newsletter.
Sarah Willis, Vice President, Communications
Sarah Willis is the Regional Manager for the Business Wire bureau in Dallas. Business Wire is a Berkshire Hathaway company and for more than 50 years, communications professionals have turned to Business Wire for its expertise, accuracy and exceptional reach to media and Wall Street audiences. Sarah’s 17 years of experience in the newswire industry has made her a trusted resource for IR professionals in DFW, advising on everything from timing an earnings release to best practices for IR sites, disclosure, crisis communications, and social media strategies. In addition to managing the Dallas bureau’s editorial, sales and media relations teams, she is responsible for business development and account management.
Sarah began her career at Business Wire in 2000 as part of the editorial staff in Dallas . She moved from editorial to sales, becoming Regional Manager in 2016.
Mrs. Willis holds a B.A. from the University of North Texas and lives in Dallas with her husband and daughter. In her spare time she is an avid gardener, painter and horse trainer.
Kristin Donnally-Doller, Director at Large
Kristin Donnally-Doller is a Principal in Investor Relations for Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR).
Prior to joining Sabre, Kristin was a senior analyst in investor relations at Southcross Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: SXE). Kristin joined Southcross in 2012 before the company’s IPO in November 2012. Prior to joining Southcross, Kristin was a Planner Executive and Account Executive for the Estee Lauder Companies from 2007-2012 in Dallas, TX, Northern CA, Hawaii, and Guam. Kristin began her career with Dillard’s Department Stores in 2003 where she held various positions in the corporate buying office and store management.
Kristin received her BS in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech and her MBA at Southern Methodist University with concentrations in Finance and Corporate Strategy. She enjoys serving as a board-member- at-large and as a past vice president of treasury for the National Investor Relations Institute – Dallas/ Fort Worth and as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Dallas Business Club. Kristin is also a past president of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association – Dallas/ Fort Worth where she successfully championed the chapter’s efforts to earn recognition from Virginia Tech as the most improved chapter in the nation as well as gold-chapter status. Kristin currently resides in Trophy Club, TX with her husband and enjoys playing classical violin, Pilates and watching Hokie and Patriots football in her free time.
Rick Black, Director at Large – former President
Rick Black is Executive Vice President at Dennard Lascar Associates, an investor relations counsel and analytical services firm. He manages the firm’s Dallas office and is the senior leader of several client teams providing investor relations counsel, account management and strategic communications planning. With more than 18 years of investor relations, media and crisis management experience, Rick has served as a trusted advisor to senior management teams and Boards of Directors in multiple industry sectors. He frequently presents at industry conferences on topics related to investor relations and shareholder activism. Prior to joining Dennard Lascar, Rick was a Senior Vice President at H+K Strategies where he manged the firm’s largest Texas client account for four years in addition to leading multiple client teams across a number of industry sectors, several that included crisis management projects such as hostile takeover attempts and proxy contests, among others. Previous experience also includes serving as director of investor relations and head of corporate communications at Luby’s, Inc. (NYSE:LUB), where he led the company’s successful defense of proxy, contest against an activist hedge fund. Rick also worked at BMC Software, Inc. (NYSE:BMC) in the investor relations department. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing from Texas Tech University. He has served on the Dallas Fort Worth NIRI Chapter since 2013.
Liz Kline, Director at Large
Liz is responsible for directing account services and new business efforts for Eisenberg And Associates, we well as running the Dallas office. She also serves as senior manager on major projects. With over 25 years of experience in the creative and marketing industry nationwide, including over 18 years with Eisenberg And Associates, Liz has worked with a client base that spans most industries. She began her career at KIDSNET, a nonprofit organization in Washington D.C., specializing in the development of educational curriculum materials for children’s television. She then worked for Bremmer & Goris Communications, a design studio in Alexandria, Virginia. She has a bachelor degree in political science from Davidson College and an MBA from the George Washington University. Liz is the 2007 past president of the NIRI DFW Chapter and has chaired several Southwest Regional Conferences for the organization.
Michael Conley, Director at Large
Michael E. Conley is Director of Investor Relations at Behringer Harvard, a leading commercial real estate and investment firm in Addison, Texas, where he provides investor relations services to investors, the firm’s sales organization, broker/dealer due diligence teams and financial advisors. He has extensive experience in investor relations, investment securities and finance.
Prior to joining Behringer Harvard in 2010, he served as Vice President of Investor Relations for Universal Technical Institute (NYSE: UTI) in Phoenix, Ariz., a for-profit postsecondary education provider. Before that, he served as Vice President of Investor Relations for Flowserve Corporation (NYSE: FLS) in Dallas, Texas, an industry-leading global manufacturer, where for six years he managed the company’s global investor relations and financial communications activities. Prior to that, Mike served for five years as Director of Investor Relations for Trinity Industries, Inc. (NYSE: TRN) in Dallas, an industry-leading international manufacturer, where he managed the company’s investor relations and financial communications. Before joining Trinity Industries, Mike was Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at Southwestern Life Corporation (AMEX: SLC) in Dallas and Louisville, Ky., where for five years he managed all holding company communications functions, including investor relations, corporate relations and media relations.
Prior to beginning his investor relations career in 1990, Mike served as Vice President and Treasurer of Richardson Savings and Loan in Dallas. He also served as Investment Officer and investment department manager at the Federal Home Loan Banks of Dallas and Little Rock, Ark. He was also formerly associated with the investment banking firm of Stephens, Inc., in Little Rock.
Mike is an At-Large Director and Past-President of the National Investor Relations Institute – Dallas-Ft. Worth Chapter. He has also served that organization as Treasurer and Vice President – Programs. He is also Past-Chairman of the External Relations and Publicity Committee of the Financial Executives International (FEI) – Dallas Chapter, where he co-founded the chapter’s Financial Executives Experience executive/student shadowing program in conjunction with Southern Methodist University, University of North Texas, and University of Texas at Dallas. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and an MBA from the University of Arkansas.
In his free time, Mike serves as a freelance statistician for TV and radio broadcasts of Dallas Mavericks and NCAA basketball games. He also enjoys a number of other activities, including yoga and weightlifting, playing baseball and basketball, and playing the piano and guitar. Mike and his wife, Ronna, reside in Dallas.
LeeAnne Sexton, Director at Large
As a Managing Director at Donnelley Financial Solutions, Lee Anne provides financial communication services for public and strategically growing private companies, investment banks and private equity firms. For the past 16 years, she has helped clients prepare for and manage the IPO process from fund raising and deal marketing all the way through to the compliance requirements as a public company. These transactional and compliance services include online datarooms, deal management, XBRL consulting and preparation, proxy statement design and distribution, annual meeting services, M&A activities and internal document management and collaboration. Prior to joining Donnelley, she spent 11 years as a Vice President at Bowne & Co. Lee Anne earned a bachelor”s degree from Texas A&M University.
When she is not with clients, Lee Anne enjoys traveling with her husband and son. She is an avid Aggie football fan with a love of hiking.
Luke Wyse, Vice President, Programs
Luke Wyse is Vice President, Investor Relations for Triumph Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: TBK). He also serves as the Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis for Triumph’s subsidiary bank, TBK Bank, SSB. Prior to joining Triumph in 2014, he was Senior Vice President, Director of Finance for The F&M Bank & Trust Company where he led corporate finance activities, as well as, strategic, operational and capital planning for the firm. Before joining F&M, Mr. Wyse served ConAgra Foods, Inc. (NYSE: CAG) in their I.T. Finance group. Earlier in his career, he worked in corporate finance departments at both Sterling Bancshares, Inc. (now Comerica) and Compass Bancshares, Inc. (now BBVA Compass).
Mr. Wyse is a Certified Financial Manager (CFM) through the Institute of Management Accountants and earned a Bachelor of Agribusiness Management and a Master of Agribusiness Management from Texas A&M University. He lives in Frisco with his wife, two sons and daughter.
